Has anyone on this newgroup had any success with connecting a Canon
ZR30 MC camcorder to a computer running Windows XP Home Edition SP2
through the firewire (1394) port? Ever since I upgraded to SP2, the
computer refuses to recognize the camcorder. The camcorder indicates
it recognizes the computer through the "DV IN" message displayed on the
camcorder's LCD screen. I don't know if the camcorder is faulty or the
problem resides with Windows XP HE SP2. Have tried connecting the
camcorder to three different computers, but unfortunately all are
operating with XP SP2. Canon simply says its a Microsoft problem and
Microsoft blames Canon. Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks. Have tried this web site to no avail. I was hoping to hear
from someone here who actually got their ZR30 MC to work with Win XP HE
SP2.
