The part on my start menu that displays recently used programs is blank. It
appears as if it has just been cleared but nothing comes back and I have
never cleared it.

If it was just cleared it will be empty and there are a few ways to clear
it. Are you saying that now when you open any app/doc/file it does not
appear in the Start > Documents?

Funny thing happened to me too. But it was the other way around. My start
menu wouldn't clear my recently used programs and that was spreading to my
other user accounts. If I tried to clear the programs, the start menu
properties window will just hang for like a min or two, and then close. But
when I went back, the programs were there. A factory-settings restoration,
(formating partition and copying of files to the formated partition) and it
was fixed, and at the moment I haven't run in the same problem again. I was
blaming it on the Norton's error, The version of Norton does not support the
Repair feature. I ran in the same error again, fixed it, and the menu was
fine. I guess I will never know what did that.
Anyways thanks, if you have a solution for this please tell me.
