I use WIN XP Pro. When I have attempted to install many
programs I usually have gotten error messages that
essentially read - "The feature you are trying to use is
on a network source that is unavailable" and it then
cites to the file {8851E12C-0EF9-11D4-A788-
009027ABA5D0}/ISScript.msi. If I try to find this file, I
cannot not can I find a directory by that name that is
supposed to be in ...\local settings\temp. Search
discovers nothing. There is a program in the Control
Panel at Add/Rem Programs that is listed as ISScript. I
have not tried to delete it because it is my only other
clue. Regrettably, WIN does not reveal the location of
program executable files listed in Add/Rem. Usually I
have just 'X'ed closed the error window (which usually
repeats 6-11 times and gone on to install the software
anyway. This time, however, I tried to install a new
mouse software and it did not install. What is this
ISScript.msi program and how do I get it where it belongs?
