Changed file association

Hello,

When tried to mail a saved .doc file by right clicking to send to mail
recipient, not only my mail client (Outlook Express) changed to MSN Hotmail
for the procedure, but the saved document changed to .doc^ extension with
unrecognizable icon for Windows, too. In spite of this still opens in Word.

My recipient not able open it, and neither I any longer in the OE Sent
items folder if the mail sent the by Inserting the attachment. Sending the
attachment the "regular" way the Hotmail doesn't intervene.
New file type association is asked for in case opening attempt..

What's going on?
