I noticed that my volume control was no longer on the taskbar. I
investigated and was told that I need to re-install the program via the
"Add/Remove Programs" window in the Control Panel.
After the list was populated, I scrolled down, and in between programs "Easy
CD Creator Basic 5" and "F1 Challenge" is what can only be described as a big
bar, which is as wide as the window and maybe a couple of hundred lines long,
or longer. The color changes between solid black and stripes of black, white
blue and orange, and then back as I scroll down thru this "dead space."
The rest of the "Add/Remove" seems to work fine.
But I can't find the Volume control to re-install.

Try this for Add/Remove

Add/Remove- part of program list is blank.

Go here:

Go down to here on that page:

"Add or Remove - White Space"
