View Full Version : Lost Restore Points Using RealOnePlayer

I continually lose restore points when I play .ra files=20
whether audio clips from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc or=20
downloaded .ra files. I have had this problem for 6=20
months or more.=20

I get the following Event Error :

Event Type: Error
Event Source: sr (note: I guess sr =3D system restore)
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 7/28/2003
Time: 8:31:32 PM
User: N/A
Computer: XXXXXX
Description:
The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected=20
error '0xC0000040' while processing the file 'XXXXXX.lnk'=20
on the volume 'HarddiskVolume1'. It has stopped=20
monitoring the volume.

I have contacted RealOne and they tried to help at first=20
then gave up. I have seen others post this problem=20
before but have seen no solutions.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply and link Rich. Nothing there
pertained specifically to my problem but it was
interesting reading for future use.
