I recently tried installing some of my old games that
worked well in 98 on to my machine with XP Home. In the
process the memory got changed. Now when I boot I receive
the error message in a window lables "Can't Run 16 Bit
Windows Programs" The error message given
is "Insufficient memory to run this application. Quit one
or more applications"
I have 128 Mg ram and 80 Gig HD relatively empty. Without
re-installing Windows XP, is there a way of restoring
this without wipeing out everything? That is other than
using the "Restore" function.

Rick, I'm not sure about 16 bit app compatibility with XP, but if you're
trying to run games you're gonna need more memory. 128M is enough for XP to
run, but it's much happier with 256.
