Video Quality issues

My video quality sucks and seems to be getting worse, I've done: virus and
spy scans, adjusted accelerations, updated drivers for everything,
re-downloading the files. But even dvd's don't look as sharp as before.

any ideas?

Have you run Disk Cleanup and Disk Defrag?

If even DVDs don't look as 'sharp' as before, have you considered the age of
your monitor?
