WOWEXEC Fault Message

Hi, everytime i try to install software on my comp, I get
the following error msg: WOWEXEC caused a General
Protection Fault in module MMSYSTEM.DLL at 000A:0032.
Can anyone help me? Thanks

The you could try Start>Run>sfc /scannow. This might fix a damaged file
mmsystem.dll
