Phillip: What an interesting problem. I am certianly no
expert,so take it with a grain of salt. Do you ever shut
down your network? Try this first. You say you run with
no firewall. You do know you can run a firewall with
minimal invasive ops. I personally cannot imagine
exposing a network to the net w/o an electronic condum.
Hopefully you at least have an antivirus setup to scan
all downloads before they hit your net. What are you
doing that you think an AV and firewall are going to slow
you down? I run my system on stealth mode. Think about
this before your entire network is corrupted: because
then, you'll damn sure shut it down.
