hi,
my amd athlon is constantly at 100%. Any ideas as to how
I can free it up some?
Ive done all the standard fixes and tweaks to help, but
it doesnt seem to do anything. Also, a diagnostic test
stated that it was 491 degrees!!!! is that possible?

No, maybe 49 degrees. You may have to take a look at your services
running in the background. Go to
www.blackviper.com and check out his Article on XP services. Also
go to Start>Run type: msconfig
select the Startup tab and uncheck any programs you don't want
running at startup.
