I don't know how but I ended up with 2 installations of
Windows XP on my computer. One seems damaged though. How
can I uninstall or delete that operating system without
affecting the other? I need to do that because it is
taking up a great deal of space on my hard drive.

What evidence do you have which shows "two" installations? Why do you
think this? I'm not saying it's impossible, but I've never ever heard
of this happening unless done deliberabately by someone who knows
exactly what they are doing?

Hi Joanna,
Simply boot the one you want to keep, open WIndows Explorer and delete the
system folders for the one you do not want. Then opne boot.ini (a hidden
system file on the root of the boot partition) and edit out the reference to
the unwanted system. You can also edit this file from the Startup & Recovery
settings on the advanced tab of system properties in the Control Panel.
