I am trying to reinstall my printer program by HP from the original CD. I get
a message that the java virtual machine cannot be loaded. Class not
registered. I have used this program on this computer using Win XP SP2
several times with no problem except with the scanning that comes with the
printer. Now i can't install the program. Thanks for helping me.

Search, type:Microsoft Java Virtual Machine In results download from 3rd
party,
the file will have x86 on it.After run windows update
catalog,software,server 2003,
web edition, the upgrade for MJVM is the 1st listed under critical, its for

I ran cmd and typed: jview. The result was "jview is not recognized as an
internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

I searched on msn.com for: Microsoft Java Virtual machine. In results I
downloaded from a third party. I downloaded the following:
MSJavWU_8073687b82d41db93f4c2a04af2b34d
Description: Microsoft VM
Company: Microsoft Corp.
File version: 5.0.3810.0
Date created: 2/22/2006 5:53 PM
Size: 5.07 MB

I then installed it .
I have automatic updtaes turned on my machine so I reached the update site.
I tried several things to reach "windows update catalog, software, server
2003 web edition. I also could not find the upgrade for MJVM although I found
a MCJVM but all it gave me was articles about the transition.

Perhaps because I have the automatic update turned on which showed i didn't
need any updates, I could not reach under critical update for XP.

When you say "After run windows update catalog, software, server 2003." I am
in doubt where or how to I run this command?

I rebooted the machine and in Explore, tools, internet options, advanced
and found Java (Sun) (checkmark) Use JRE 1.50_06 for (applet) (requires
restart). This didn't change from a previous visit before I reinstalled
MCJVM. I tried to reinstall HP printer software and got the same message as
previously mentioned in my posting and was unable to install it.. Sorry for
being so long winded.
