I have had Windows Xp installed for over a year now. About two weeks ago I
downloaded the IE 7 beta. Other then that one prgoram nothing has changed in
my system in months at the very least.

Just this week my firewall started prompting me for permission for winXP
programs to be servers. My first reaction was malware or virus or something
along those lines. I ran Adaware, Spybot, Norton Antivirus, Microsoft
AntiSpyware and found nothing.

The programs are all listed in the System32 file, but have never asked for
Server permission or even internet access before. (Spoolsv.exe, lsass.exe,
alg.exe, svchost.exe)

Anyone know why just now they are starting to try and acess with server
privileges? Are these in fact malware?

lsass.exe is the only problamatic file, [depending on your spelling],
but understand there are risks associated with installing any Beta
software, you're the tester.
