Viewing images in folders

I used to be able to see a preview of the images in an image folder, but now
they only appear as icons, and the "view as a slide show" option doesn't work
anymore.

View Menu > Thumbnails

Type or paste the following line into the Start | Run box and click OK...

regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

Generic icon is displayed for a picture file when in Thumbnail view
