Does anyone have any idea?

I've tried changing these 2 following registry entries but this does
not seem to work...

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Opt imalLayout.
"LayoutFilePath"="C:\\WINDOWS\\Prefetch\\Layout.ini" <<-------

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory
Management\PrefetchParameters.
"RootDirPath"="Prefetch" <<-------

TIA.

The prefetch system folder cannot be moved.
It must remain on the same partition as the operating system.

Where do you want to locate it to and why do you want to do that?

I am actually interested in this too. I have just purchased an iRAM and was
considering to relocate the prefetch folder there in order to speed up the
booting process.

Relocating the Prefetch folder wouldn't improve boot times. \Prefetch is
a processing folder where the .PFs are stored and incorporated into the
Layout.Ini. It's the resultant defragmenttion/file placement on the disk
that causes Boot/Application Start time improvements.
