Win Media Player adding to library problems

Using media player 10 i can watch MPEG-4 movies and add them to the library.
When my wife logs into her desktop she can watch the mpeg-4 files but cannot
add them to the library as it says it is an unsurported file format. has
anyone else had the same problem. we are using XP home sp2 and both have
administrator logins
