video chat in windows

Please help, Iam trying to use a dv cam to video chat. I went through the
audio tuning and everything seemed fine but when I go to start the video chat
no video is displayed in the side bar. any help would be appreciated thank
you.

From an official standpoint, DV cameras aren't completely supported, and a number of people
have experienced problems getting this to work.

What version of Messenger are you trying? You may want to try in Windows Messenger as it
actually makes use of the video preview that you see in the wizard (whereas MSN Messenger
does not).

I am using windows messenger 4.7 the camers is conected through fire wire
