hibernation

computer does not come back on when it enters hibernation
mode...using sleep button on keyboard puts the computer
into hibernation but the screen freezes and i have no
idea how to return it to operation

Perhaps I am mistaken, however I believe you are confusing standby with
hibernation. The keyboard key labeled sleep or standby puts the computer
into standby mode. Hibernation is enterred by start--turn off computer--and
pressing shift key to change 'standby' to 'hibernate'. Hibernates shuts all
power off so the power on key is used to exit hibernation. In sleep mode,
power remains on so a mouse movement or keyboard key will bring the computer
out of sleep mode. Check your power settings, keyboard and mouse settings to
'allow this device to bring out of standby'.
