Some (but not all) files play in silly colours. Like a cartoon. Lots of
bright red and fiery hot colours. Same files have played fine on other
machines, so not the files. I think I have tried all the media player
settings but not managed to correct this. I have other players that are
fine, but some internet stuff plays this way as well. Any ideas? I think
someone else had the same problem and was advised about ace codec or
something. I really do not know what this means or how to apply it. Why has
this occurred? Have I done something wrong? Can I do anything about it?
Could I uninstall/reinstall media player and would it help. Idiot proof
answers preferred!! Thanks a lot.

If you install -
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=888656
, does that fix this up?
