How do I copy one or all of my emails to the floppy or cd
drive?

Hi Roland,
This is just one way ......
Generally in XP you e-mails are stored at the following location:
C:\Documents and settings\[your name]\local settings\application data
\identities\{123abc[coded file]}\microsoft\outlook express
then finally you should see all the individual folders you have in
outlook express.
You can copy or drag these to a new location or A:\ drive etc.
Likewise you can aim for this same folder within your CD burning application.

Thanks for you reply. I have not saved any of the emails
to a folder. I want to copy them direct from the inbox
to a floppy or cd. Also, I have just started using
Windows XP and do not know much about it. When you say
dragging, it does not make sense to me. Can you simplify
how to do this.

Better than dragging, use the file/export command in Outlook
Express and save the files to the floppy or to a new folder
on the hard drive. If you have packet writing software for
the CD-RW (EZCD or Nero) you can save directly to the CD-RW.

How to do so depends on what program you use for E-mail.

it only gave me these two options: export to Microsoft
Express or Microsoft Exchange. What I want to do is to
copy all of my emails (they are not saved to a folder)to
a floppy or a CD enmass without coping to a folder. If
there is a way to copy them all at one time to a folder
and then to a disk, I can try this.

Click on edit in the top menu/ Click on select all - (Now all your messeages
should be highlighted. Click on edit again in the top menu and select copy.
Open up your floppy drive and click edit in the top menu and select paste.

Another way is to use the "Save as..." button in the toolbar of the message
window which allows for where to save, file name, and one of three formats.
For CD burning, it may be easier to first save to a separate folder which
your burning software can locate.
