I am getting a system crash. When the system comes back
up it sends the error report to microsoft but cames up
device driver problem! When I go to admin tools and then
to event veiwer it says it is the explorer.exe
module6.0.2800.1106 faulting mfc40.dll,
version6.0.8665.0. it says this is an application not a
driver. I have installed no new hardware nor software.
Just the updates from microsoft.
Also my Wifes user account is frozen stating the same
error. The computer will not load all the way in her
profile either.

Hi
Try this:
Start>Run - then type in "regsvr32 mfc40.dll" - without the quotes. =
Please note the space between the 2 and m.

Hi
Re-registering that file with Windows may have stopped the error message =
you have been seeing.
