I have Explorer version 6.0.2505 and I want to update it
to SP1 and everytime I run the update it give the
following message " A previous installation has pending
work requiring a reboot. You need to restart your
computer to complete the installation before running
Internet Explore setup "

I restart the computer many times and still I am getting
the same message even I am not installing any software at
the main time??? What to do ??

Internet Explorer version 6.0.2505 is an old beta version. Apparently,
you are still using an old beta version of Windows XP. That license
expired on 10/25/2001 when the released version of Windows XP
was launched. You need to purchase the released version of Windows
XP (Build 2600) and install it on a reformatted drive. Microsoft does=20
not support your build of Windows XP, hence, no updates are permitted.

Go the Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter. If you show
any build other than "Build 2600", you are using a Windows XP beta
version.
