I want to know how to burn a DVD out of my videos in my Videos folder. I have
Sonic RecordNow but it only copies DVD's doesnt burn new ones for you. Is

If the Sonic RecordNow came with your PC, it's probably a 'lite' version
that does not allow for the functionality you need.
I'd suggest:
Nero v7
Roxio v8
PowerDirector v5 (www.gocyberlink.com)
WinDVD Creator v2 (www.intervideo.com)
Why not download a trial version of each and see which one you like best.

If your PC came supplied with an installed DVD burner,
and I'll assume you have one of those OEM "packages"
(Which as you're UK could be anyone from Advent thru
to Time/Tiny) It will undoubtably come with some form of
comprehensive burning utility, if you are not sure, post
the exact details of the "package" and we can check it
out online. Once we discern which software maybe
pre-installed, we can then guide you to an online tutorial -
ALL software, of every ilk, will have an online tutorial.....

Hello ... I've been successful in burning a DVD (thanx to this newsgroup!)
yet lowering my recording quality to LP using SonicRecordNow. If I'd like to
select "fit-to-dvd" a 2 hour or 2+ hour program onto a 4.7Gb DVD+R disc
without lowering my recording quality to LP, should I upgrade to the newer
version as recommended by Sonic (MyDVD8); or research DVDShrink, Nero, Roxio,
PowerDirector, etc. BTW, I am using a Dell 9100 Dimension computer Windows
XP with MCE. There's so many options out there (as there are so many threads
relating to this subject), but I'd like to get a suggestion or direction
which way to go. I don't want anything complicated or will cost me a high
investment.
thanx!
