Why can't I make a screen capture of an MPEG-2 video in Windows Media Player?
It works fine with MPEG-1 video. How can I get a screen shot of an MPEG-2
video?

Use your third party DVD decoding software... PowerDVD or WinDVD... both
have screen capture options.

Thanks Cari,

Unfortunately I'm bound to use WMP since the capture I want to make is
through my own application which is build on WMP.

Not possible. If you convert it to WMV you can do screencaps in
WindowsMovieMaker but WMM is not designed to edit MPEG2 files.
