Can someone actually tell me how to go about closing port
135(DCOM). I would really like to know the steps to
being able to do it. Thank you.

Get a firewall. That's first. If you want to close port 135, you can try
that later by searching www.google.com or www.microsoft.com/technet/security
checklists. www.sygate.com and www.kerio.com are free firewalls.
