The first thing you need to do is remove some spyware that
might have come along w/ that download. Go to
http://www.komando.com/shareware_show.asp?showID=346
Download the program and install and run it. That's step
one. By the way, if the program finds anything called new
dot net, uncheck the box that says it will remove it.
This little bit of spyware is very nasty and SHOULD NOT be
removed with going into start/settings/control panels/add
remove.
Now, this will probably not solve the problem you are
having, but it's a very important start. And seriously
consider not downloading software this way - and I am not
speaking from a moral perspective. Truth is, you will
most likely end up w/ more problems than it's worth.
Let us know what happens next.
