View Full Version : Moving a Program

I have two folders on my "c" drive, one named Programs
(which contains basic programs such as Office 2000, etc.)
and a second folder named New Stuff (which also contains
installed programs).

My question is this: I know moving any basic files (doc,
jpg, gif) is not a problem, but is there any special
software needed when you MOVE (or copy) an EXE program, if
the EXE is being moved only from one folder to another,
but staying on the same drive?

Will this cause shortcuts not to be recognized, or DLL's
(or anything else) to not recognize the new location?

Many thanks!!

Addressing the shortcuts issue only. Norton System
Works' Win Doctor does an excellent job of cleaning up
all the debris of invalid shortcuts.
