Hello,
One day signing in to msn messenger or some microsoft site i got the option
to change my passport signin email adress..
every since my contacts stop seeing me online and neither do I see them
online..
what happens is that all my contacts' mesngr programs someday decide to
switch again to my old email address... even from my side trying to add them
again doesnt fix the issue... i have to send out every now and then an email
to everyone saying please if you have my old address... remove it and add my
new one to make it work!!! (it just switches by its own!!)
can anyone help?
thanks

Yes, a lot people making this experiences, because changing the email address
in messenger makes the whole messenger technology useless.
You will hardly complete your former contacts. Even if your delete caches
and other credentials in IE and/or messenger or profiles. Even if you saved
your contacts before you switched to another email address in messenger and
import the contacts you saved, you won't be able to get in contact with most
of your contacts anymore.
Most of your contacts will be shown as offline, even if they are online. Try
to add the contacts several times, and get them seeing online, after next
logon they will be again offline and never seen.
So this technology doesn't work and it seems nobody at Microsoft cares about
it.
I could advice you, to never change your email address in messenger! Our
whole team lost this good tool for collaboration, after most of us changed
email addresses. Messenger is now useless for us.
Best regards,
Thomas
