I have several very long email addresses that I enter
manually several times a day. Is there a way to set a
function (such as CTR-ALT-F6) to paste this at any time?

Hi

You could use a macro:

Since you don't say if you're using an Outlook,, or Outlook Express as =
your e-mail client, I'll just assume so!

Open one of them then click on "Address Book" then click on "Help", =
then "Content and index" and type in the box "adding groups to the =
Address Book", and learn!

I'm looking for a general shortcut, not one limited to a
specific application. I use both Outlook and OE.

Then take the addresses you have, and follow those instructions in the =
"Help" files. You can either add them to your address book, then take =
those addresses, and make them a group, name it something you like, add =
them (that) to your contacts, then use that group in a "new e-mail" in =
OE and/or Outlook, since you are more than likely using one of those =
anyway, it can be in your contacts list. This can be achieved with any =
e-mail client. When you create mail, select that group from your =
contacts as the recipient(s)=20

You still didn't specify what e-mail system you use, ie, a client, or a =
web based system.

If you simply want to copy-n-paste them into the "to" address bar (why I =
don't know, it seems more difficult that way), then open notepad, and =
type out the addresses, followed by a semi-colon, or a comma after each =
address, and save-as whatever you'd like, then copy-n-paste it to =
whatever "to" Cc", or "Bcc".

There are many programs around that let you type an abbreviation,
and it then supplies the full text. They typically work in all
applications. I use a feeware program called Robotype (do a
search to find it). So for example if I type "ms," it supplies
"Microsoft." It could do the same thing with names and E-mail
addresses.

You can try this:
Right click on the desktop, choose new, shortcut.
In the "location of the item" space enter the address you want a
shortcut to, prefixed by mailto:
Thus- .
Then enter a name for the shortcut.
When you click on this shortcut it will bring up a new message window
with the address already entered for you.
(You can place this shortcut anywhere convenient that you like.)
