Adobe printing problem

This should be simple but I am a novice. .pdf files are not printing
correctly. It could be that my computer is programmed to open them with Adobe
version 5.0 instead of the 6.0 (French language) version I have installed on
my laptop. Maybe I need to uninstall the older version? If so, how?

go to add/remove programs from control panel and uninstall any version of
adobe acrobat u want.
