XP keeps finding new printer

Hi,

Installed a printer on a parallel port & re-installed my old laser on USB. I
can see both in Control panel and both print fine and print test pages.

When I restart the PC it comes up with found new printer(twice), once for
each printer. I installed both by selecting them from XP's list of printers.

How can I stop this annoying message coming up on every time I start up?

stop the shell hardware detection service and hange it's startup type to
manual. in future when you install another hardware and your computer
doesn't detect it, do remember to first start this service
