Does anyone know if I can operate the Windows XP Fax facility with a
Broadband line.

BT tell me that it can be done but my PC says NO!

If you are referring to a DSL line, it can be done using a filter. The fax
modem gets connected as if it is an analoge (classic) telephone. This
assumes that the phone company provides the needed service.

If you have cable or some other form of broadband, you can either continue
to use your dial-up modem and phone line for Faxing, or you can hire an
Internet E-faxing service:
