SOLUTION:
Get rid of WinXP and get a copy of Win98SE and install it,
you will end all your problems, and have a very fast
computer. You can not resolve conflicts with IRQ's, I/O
Ports, or Physical Memory Addresses being shared using
WinXP. Don't believe me, try unchecking the greyed out
box in the Device Manager "Use Automatic Settings", you
will not be able to. Not in WinXP you won't. Win98SE,
you can! This is one of the very serious flaws in WinXP
that Microsoft has been unable to resolve, and why XP
should not be used. You can share an IRQ, but you should
never share an I/O Port, or Physical Memory Address!!!
