For some reason my performance monitor in the
Administrative tools (Winxp - home+) has stopped working.
The window opens but I cannot get a graph, histograph or
anything to work. The performance logs and alerts will
start then I immediately get notification that the logging
has been stopped.
I do graphics and digital work on my system and monitor
the useage while doing so.
I have also discovered that the address tool on the
toolbar will not work. The address function in IE will
work but I used the address tool on the toolbar frequently
rather than opening IE for going to a known site.
The above items worked well until a couple of weeks ago.
The only downloads that I have accessed is the realplayer
update.
I have a Pentium 4, 3.4, with a 200g harddrive and 2g of
memory. I know that I am not running out of space or
memory.
Can anyone suggest a repair other than the dreaded FORMAT.
