how do i split the screen and play multiple videos at once?
is it possible?

Depends on what you mean, you give so little to go on.
In Windows media player you want to play two movies you have downloaed at
the same time?
In your video editing app you want to put two movies side by side?
Give lots more info on what you want to doa dn what apps you want to use to
do it.

in my video editing on windows movie making i would like to play 2 or even
more videos simultaneously side by side on one screen, is it possible to
achieve this?

Start>>Run>>mplayer2.exe
when this is up then:
View>>Options>>Player>>tick off "Open a New
Player for each media file played"
You can then open as many of these as you want.
I have 4 going right now with 4 clips running simultaneously.
