Problems with videos

I recently reinstalled all my programs and i downloaded wmv10 and for some
reason i cant watch videos on the internet, and sometimes i can't download
and view them either, the wmv says i have to connect to the internet and If
the file is located a removable storage card, insert the storage card. Can
anyone help
