I have a Toshiba Satellite A70/A75 Series laptop, running Windows XP home
edition. There is only one user on the machine. Earlier today, I turned my
laptop on, hit my name at the first signin page. The computer booted up, but
the desktop was a generic page that says Satellite, with icons that won't
open. I need to know how to make my user profile open so I can acces my
computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks!

You have a corrupted profile...

Corrupt Profile:

You'll want to log in via safe mode to the admin account, create a new
account, and move the stuff over...

After that you should be all set.

Galen,
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm heading home now, to "try" to get this thing
working right. I might need more assistance later tho... Thanks again!
