Hi
I have been having problems starting my computer for the
past week- I was only able to start it in safe mode and
then after that only able to get it to work after using
System Restore and went back to a point from last week.
I reinstalled MSN messenger (which had been causing
problems) and d/c my scanner (which also caused problems)
but now, after playing around a bit, i did something- Now
when i try to use System restore, it tells me I have no
restore points!!! How can I get those back?
Thanks
Gina

Did you click on MyComputer>rt click on Drive Icon>Select Properties>Disk
Cleanup>More Options>System Restore>Cleanup? Said Yes to all? Restore
points are gone.

Gina;
You can't get them back.
The best you can do is create another Restore Point now.

See this for more about system Restore:

Hi-

No- that's the thing- nothing i clicked on or pressed said
anything about erasing the system restore points, didn't
start or stop it, didn't get any warning, next thing i
knew, i rebooted and received an error message that System
restore could not protect my computer and that i needed to
restart. oh well
