Machine is Gateway 5032 1.5 GB RAM Trying to burn 7.2 GB movie
on memorex DVD+R DL. After about 3 hours, the machine spits out the dvd
with a message that operation failed. I called Gateway and they told me to
speak to Nero. I looked in the event viewer and there was a reference to
Sonic(?)
I have burned TV shows to DVD-R media, but thus far everytime I try to burn
to DVD-DL, I experience a failed operation. Can anyone tell me where to
begin to resolve this?

Tech support of the company that made your DVD burning software. XP does not
come with this ability.

If there was a reference to Sonic then that is the company that made Roxio

Did Gateway install Nero?

You better check and see what you really have installed.

You might want to try the MCE groups. They're pretty adept at stuff like
this.
