I want to transfer all the folders in the Outlook Express from one PC to
another and being able to read them.
What I have done is 'Send To' Outlook Express' to a disk from my old PC and
then transfer it to the My Document in the other PC but when I open the
folders I cannot read the files because they are in --bak.files
Any help appreciated
TIA

For OE Backup, have a look here:

How do I back up my files and settings?

6. How does one backup and restore or transfer OE messages and settings?

For DBXtract, have a look here:

From Tom Koch @ http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/

[[Importing from a CDRW or Zip disk
OE must have write-access to any *.dbx files you want to import. You must
therefore copy the files to your hard disk and then turn off the Read-Only
attribute. In Explorer, select all the files, then right-click on any one
and select Properties. You can then uncheck the Read-Only box. Or at a DOS
prompt, enter this:
attrib -r *.*]]
