why is messenger not letting me email on websites?

Hi,
I need help, please. I wanted to email people at Yahoo today. I clicked on
the person's name to send an email, my windows messenger Identity log in pops
up, I enter my password. It tells me that my password is incorrect, which is
not possible as I just changed my password today and used it to log in here.
So, for some reason, I am not able to email when I am on websites. (you know,
, I cannot email that way.)

PLEASE HELP.
