she just needs to go to network settings then tcp/ip properties and make the
it "automatically obtain ip address". but I think to solve your problem u
need to furnish some more information about ur hardware modem, etc.

Hi Victoria,

In the Control Panel under Internet Options, have her go to the Connections
tab. Enable the line to "always dial my default connection". Also, check the
networking folder, if there is a lan icon for the old dsl connection here
she should delete it.

Hi Victoria,

Thank you so much . But one more thing she is getting a error message - Driver winsock driver-page memory access (0x00008f1) unknown what can she do now? Thank you for your help
