Hello,

Much like some of the others in this forum, I have a Kodak digital camera
and I have taken some videos of my baby daughter. I would like to use these
videos with the MiniDV videos that I have taken with my video camera. I am
using Pinnacle 9.4 with my MiniDV camera.
What I do know is...
I have to change the mov format to avi.
I have Quicktime 7.0
I also have RadVideo tools

My question is... What are the optimal settings/preferences for either/both
programs so that they converted .mov videos that will blend the best with the
Pinnacle software videos so that there are no issues when I go to create
movies on DVDs, etc...
Thanks for your time everyone.

I also have a Kodak camera which creates .mov files.

I doubt very much that you can convert .mov *to* .avi . I think it is more
likely that you would convert both .avi and .mov to a common format e.g.
MPEG2

I know that my videos from a Panasonic Video Cam end up as .mpg (MPEG2
format) but I think that it because I use Ulead Video Studio software. I
also have Panasonic software but I think it converts the .avi files to MPEG2
also.

I actually wish I could get better quality by converting the .avi files
(which they are when downloaded from the video cam) to something better.
Does RAD Video convert .avi to a better format then MPEG2 ? I haven't been
game enough (or had enough patience) to try it.

If you or anyone knows whether any of these tools: RAD Video Tools 8.i /
Ulead VideoStudio 8.0 SE DVD / Panasonic MotionDV STUDIO LE for DV / any
other free software, can create better output, I would be grateful.
