XP Pro versus XP Media

Is there any reason (actual functions not available) why I would not choose
Windows XP Professional over Windows Media? By that I mean I don't care
about a better interface or remote control for media watching as long as I
can watch/listen to TV or other media.

Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 cannot join a domain but is perfectly
happy in a workstation....
