Using movie maker I was able to import, edit the movie and save onto a CD.
But the format that gets saved on to the CD is wmv format which is not
recognised by my dvd player. Is there any other way that I can burn video
CD's using movie maker but still make it work by my DVD player. My DVD player
player most of the formats like MP3 etc.,

Use third party software to create a VCD or DVD. There are no stand alone
players on the market that can play a WMV.
