View Full Version : moved computer, can't print

We have an office LAN with HP Laserjet 4050 installed via a switch. I
recently moved a computer from one location to another and now I can't print
to the network printer. The only change to the setup was the network cable to
the computer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am using winXP
Pro.

Typically, there is a way to print out a configuration page from the front panel
of the computer that will include, among other things, the printer's IP address.

You'll have to check the manual.

To print a configuration page:
1 Press [Menu] until INFORMATION MENU appears.
2 Press [Item] until PRINT CONFIGURATION appears.
3 Press [Select] to print the configuration page.

address of the network interface. Can you ping HPLaserJ?
