Processor 100%; DDE Server shutting down

Does anyone have this problem? My Pentium 4, 256M RAM,
WinXP Home machine recently started showing 100%
processor usage with no applications open. Before
shutting down and restarting error message: DDE Server is
shutting down.

Please help! I'll be forever in your debt! :)
