video stutters

[wmp dumbie]

ok i'm kinda new at this but everytime i go in2 wmp10 it always says (not
responding) after bout 5minutes it works. but when i go to videos it plays
for a second or 2 then freezers, the sound continues on then all of a sudden
the picture finally catches up 2 the sound.
this is also happening with the music aswell.
real player 10 also does the same thing...did i break my computer?
please any information is KINDLY APPRECIATED :)

No you probably didn't break it, you haven't defragged it in a while or you
are running short on hard drive space.
