Printer issues

I loaded HP printer 3745 onto my laptop. I use it at home. However, I want
the default printer to be the 1610 that I have at school. EVERY time I turn
on the computer, I have to go in and tell it that the 1610 is the default
printer, otherwise it tries to send documents to the 3745. Sometimes within
the same day, it reverts back to the 3745 as the default printer. I don’t
get it. Got any suggestions? I’ve gone through the control panel, through
the start menu, through the task bar. I don’t know what else to do. Please
advise. Thanks

That's not possible unless you uninstall the 3745 printer. Each time you
turn on the notebook, XP will look for a printer. If it finds one that you
have installed, it will make it the default.
